Engineer Watchkeeper Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineer Watchkeeper to join our team. As an Engineer Watchkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the operational capabilities of the ship's engine and mechanical equipment.
* Maintaining propulsion, auxiliary and ancillary machinery to ensure efficient and effective operation of the vessel and in accordance with PMS requirements;
* Maintaining Self Unloading machinery and equipment to ensure efficient and effective operation and in accordance with PMS requirements;
* Performing deck maintenance and rounds as required by the Chief Engineer;
* Providing support to the Chief Engineer in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
Requirements:
* Hold AMSA Marine Order 72 – Engineer Class 3 (required);
* AMSA Engine Watchkeeper (Class 3) CoC/CoR Unlimited;
* Minimum 6 months sea time as an Engineer Watchkeeper;
* Certificate of Safety Training (STCW) (desirable);
* Work Safely at Heights Certification (desirable);
* Enter and Work in Confined Space Certification (desirable);
* Hold, or be eligible to obtain, a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) (required);
* Australian Citizen or unlimited Australian Working Rights;
* Living in Australia.
