Qualifications & experience
* Fire Technician with Electrical experience ideal, but not necessary
* Must hold permanent resident status or Australian citizenship
* Minimum 1-2 years of fire safety industry experience required
* Portable Fire Equipment service knowledge and experience - Preferred however training will be provided to the right candidate
* Fire panel programming knowledge - Preferred however training will be provided to the right candidate
* Certificate II in Fire Protection Inspect & Test - Preferred however DG Electrical and Fire will put all field staff through this course at the companies expense
* Organised, Self-motivated
* Knowledge of AS1851, AS1670, AS16689, AS2441, AS2444, AS2293 & NCC/BCA Codes preferred
* Relevant trade, FPAS or CFSP qualifications will be highly regarded
* Good Communication skills, both written and verbal
* Good Customer Service focus and flexible attitude.
Tasks & responsibilities
* As a Fire Technician with DG Electrical and Fire you will work with a team and on occasions be tasked to work on your own on domestic and commercial works.
* Carry out installation, inspection and testing to all types of fire alarm detection systems, EWIS etc.
* Exit and emergency lighting and other related equipment.
* Execution of electrical/fire upgrades.
* Fire equipment maintenance including portable fire equipment.
* Repairs to the highest standard.
