The Northern Land Council (NLC) is seeking a creative Graphic & Communications Officer to develop culturally appropriate visual content that strengthens communication and makes complex information clear and engaging.
About The Role
The Graphics and Communications Officer plays a key role in strengthening the NLC's brand through the creation of clear, engaging and accessible visual content. You will design and deliver high-quality graphics across print, digital, social media, publications and events, ensuring consistency with NLC brand standards.
As part of the Media and Communications team, you will translate complex information into simple, impactful visual formats that support communication, engagement and understanding across the organisation. You will also contribute to major publications, including Land Rights News, and support digital campaigns and multimedia outputs.
What You Will Bring
You are a creative and detail-oriented designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality visual work. You have the ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail and consistency across all outputs.
You bring a strong portfolio demonstrating your ability to communicate ideas visually, with experience across both print and digital platforms. You are confident working with stakeholders, translating complex concepts into engaging designs, and producing culturally appropriate content that resonates with diverse audiences.
In Addition To This, You Will Have
* A Diploma in Graphic Design or a related field, or equivalent experience.
* Minimum two (2) years' professional graphic design experience
* Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat) and Microsoft Office.
* Strong understanding of layout, typography and pre-press requirements.

* A base salary of $83,099 per annum plus 15% superannuation and salary sacrificing up to $15,900 + Meal Entertainment and Holiday Accommodation benefit up to $2,650 per year.
* Other benefits under our Enterprise Agreement include:
o District allowance of up to $4,884 (DA2) per annum for individuals with dependents and $2,678 (DA1) without dependents.
o Generous leave provisions 5 weeks annual leave, leaving loading, 18 days personal leave;
o Paid Christmas close down;
o Upon completion of 12 months of service an Annual airfare with a net (in hand) value of $3,177;
