The Geriatrician will provide specialist medical care for older adults within the Fraser Coast Integrated Care Service.
The role focuses on delivering comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex geriatric conditions, with a strong emphasis on multidisciplinary collaboration to optimise patient outcomes across acute, subacute, and community care settings.
Opportunity for Private Practice
The successful candidate may have the opportunity to establish private practice outside of their WBHHS appointment with local private hospitals.
The successful candidate may receive assistance and concessions with:
Use of the local private hospital's sessional rooms to allow establishment of practice and referral pathways
Assistance with credentialling and administrative support to commence private practice
Introduction to local GP's, physicians and surgeons to facilitate referral pathways.
