Asset Inspector Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Asset Inspector to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and assessing power poles and associated overhead and underground assets across our network.
As an Asset Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of our asset management system by identifying and categorizing faults, defects, and asset conditions. You will also be required to travel frequently within your designated area in metro and regional Victoria.
* Inspect overhead lines, below ground assets, and associated systems in accordance with organizational standards.
* Inspect and test distribution earthing systems, identifying faults and systems that require rectification.
* Conduct specified preservative treatments and minor maintenance tasks as required.
* Ensure all scheduled works are completed within the specified timeframes.
* Identify, verify, and update asset details and data within our asset management system.
* Report on any identified defects, features that require maintenance, and potential and existing safety and/or environmental hazards.
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a Certificate II in ESI – Asset Inspection & Testing, compliant with the VESI Skills and Training Matrix. You will also require a construction industry white card, current first aid training certificate, and chemical handling certificate.
