On behalf of our client, we seek an experienced Contracts Manager to support our client's growing greenfield mining operation which is located in Western Australia's beautiful coastal north-west region. The successful candidate will work full time from our client's West Perth head office on a maximum term 18-24-month contract, with an immediate start.

The initial responsibilities of this role will include key accountabilities such as:
6. Develop and execute project contracting management strategy, plans and associated processes for the project for the duration of the works including, construction and operations phase in consultation with all Owners team members.
7. Effectively manage project commercial and schedule risks through the contracting strategy.
8. Develop and manage the tender and prequalification process and provide input on technical risks associated with the preparation and evaluation of tenders.
9. Ensure compliance with Australian Industry Participation (AIP) guidelines.
10. Assist with post award contract management including claims management, variations, extension of time, delay and disruption claims and working with the legal and project teams to resolve claims.
We hope you’ll bring:
11. Degree qualified (Business, Engineering, Construction Management) and with preference in a Quantity Surveying discipline highly regarded.
12. Minimum of 15+ years’ experience as a Contracts Manager / Senior Contracts Manager working at a strategic management level within the resource sector
13. Experience working within greenfield projects and operational entities, with a proven track record.
14. Experience in EPC, EPCM, D&C, ECI contracts in a project context.
15. Experience in projects from feasibility stage through to developing and executing contract strategy, preparation of tenders, contract negotiation and award and contract management and contract close out.
16. Experience in negotiation and managing variations, disputes and claims.
17. Experience in defining, developing and implementing contracting strategies and processes for Greenfield projects in the resources industry.
18. Proven ability to lead, mentor and manage Contracts Specialists and Administrators.
