Job Description:
The Systems Modelling Engineer II contributes to the mission of advancing space exploration by performing systems modelling across various product life cycle phases and participating in systems engineering reviews.
* Evaluate system-level guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) performance and stability, defining associated requirements for systems and subsystems.
* Design and optimize launch vehicle trajectories and specify satellite orbits.
* Develop high-level models of separation events.
* Model control system actuators.
* Define launch vehicle go/no-go wind criteria based on control system and load limits.
* Develop high-level telemetry RF system architecture and ground stations during early design phases.
* Characterise natural environments for launch vehicles and satellites, including wind and space radiation.
* Apply data analysis techniques to validate models from raw test data.
