They are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to support critical financial operations over a 6-month contract, with an immediate start required. The Role: In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining the financial health of the company through accurate reporting, process improvements, and regulatory compliance. Your expertise will support decision-making while ensuring the smooth running of daily operations during this crucial period. Key Responsibilities: Manage Consolidations: Lead the preparation of consolidated financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and ASX requirements Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries. Deliver timely and accurate statutory financial reports. Eliminate intercompany transactions and balances to ensure accurate consolidated results. Support audit processes and collaborate with external auditors throughout the contract period. Implement process improvements to streamline consolidation workflows and reporting efficiencies. Provide analysis and insights into financial performance across multiple entities. About You: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA or CA qualification required. 5 years of experience in financial accounting, with a strong focus on consolidations and ASX reporting. Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills. Expertise in eliminating intercompany transactions and ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks. A hands-on approach, with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
