FULL TIME 38 HOURS PER WEEK MINIMUM 4 WEEKS ANNUAL LEAVE SALARY PLUS SUPER $75k - $85k PA LAW TEAM PTY LTD (ABN 68 382 731 869) is looking for a full time Accountant (General) to join their growing team. Law Team is a forward-thinking, law firm based on the NSW Central Coast operating out of Gosford and Erina that specializes in proactive legal solutions for business, property, and future planning. Rather than reacting to disputes, the firm focuses on preventative law: putting practical legal frameworks in place now to prevent future issues and support sustainable growth.
As one of the region’s pioneering B Corp law firms, Law Team is committed to aligning strong legal standards with ethical business practices. The firm provides clear, accessible guidance from tailored document templates to comprehensive advisory support designed to demystify legal complexity and help clients confidently “future-proof” their ventures and personal goals. To be considered for the role you need to have a relevant industry qualification and at least 1 years' experience in a similar position, although more is preferred.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Assisting in writing budgets and accounting policies
- Creating accounting procedures
- Preparing monthly and annual financial statements for presentation to the board of directors and executive leadership team as well as for governing and statutory bodies
- Conducting financial investigations and preparing reports to advise on matters such as the purchase and sale of businesses, mergers and capital financing
- Undertaking audits and advising on matters such as the purchase and sale of suspected fraud, insolvency and taxation
- Examining operating costs and organisations' income and expenditure
- Providing assurance about the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements
- Providing financial and taxation advice on business structures, plans and operations
- Preparing tax returns for the organization.
- Liaising with financial institutions and brokers to establish funds management arrangements
- Managing and maintaining our computer-based accounting system
- Maintaining internal control systems
- Work with the Managing Director to appraise cash flow and financial risk of capital investment projects
