As the Head of Department, you will lead the curriculum focus in alignment with school and departmental initiatives, contribute to delivering the vision of the Early Childhood and State Schools Division, enhance the quality of teaching and learning, and foster positive relationships between students, teachers, and stakeholders.
Your Responsibilities
Line manage a dynamic team, including 3 Permission to Teach staff, 1 Trade to Teach staff member and a dedicated Industrial Teacher Aide.
Lead the quality assurance of implemented V9 programs and Vocational Courses.
Liaise with Industry Partners, which includes maintaining our Gateway to Industry School partnership, and CSIRO STEM professional in schools partnership.
Oversee key operations within the faculty, including CARA's, PERA's, SOP's and Chemwatch.
Manage financial responsibilities, including purchasing and procurement requirements.
Maintain engagement in the Queensland Pedal Prix Super Series, including hosting a 'Regional Round'.
