Regulatory Reporting Senior Analyst — Rabobank Australia
Rabobank is the world’s leading specialist in food & agribusiness banking. Our Regulatory Reporting Team is responsible for managing and ensuring the accuracy of regulatory reporting (FATCA/CRS/AIIR/annual statements, etc.). We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Analyst with data analysis skills to join the team.
Reporting to the Senior Manager Regulatory Reporting, this role is crucial in ensuring that regulatory reporting meets the highest standards of accuracy and compliance aligned to Rabobank’s mission and values.
Top role accountabilities
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity for timely, high-quality regulatory reporting
- Challenge and simplify existing reporting solutions, implement automated processes where feasible including reporting reconciliation
- Lead the process of gathering, analysing, and documenting business requirements related to regulatory reporting
- Conduct in-depth data analysis, process mapping, and gap analysis to identify opportunities for standardisation and optimisation
- Collaborate with compliance, tax, legal, risk management, and technology teams to ensure smooth execution of regulatory reporting initiatives/changes
- Analyse regulatory reporting processes and data to identify trends, issues, inefficiencies, or areas for improvement, and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders
- Drive process improvements across the regulatory reporting lifecycle, focusing on increasing operational efficiency, mitigating risks, and accuracy
- Ensure that all regulatory reporting undertaken and systems are aligned with regulatory requirements, and manage any compliance risks through appropriate analysis and recommendations
- Undertake detailed analysis of data from generated reports including data validation, variance and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency of reporting
- Resolve reporting issues identified including operational risks, audit points and new compliance requirements
To be successful in the role, you will have
- Extensive business and data analysis experience working on regulatory reports
- Proven experience in documentation, facilitation, data discovery/sources, data analysis including data quality and reporting in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Experience in resolving reporting issues including operational risks, audit points and compliance requirements with identified controls
- Robust stakeholder experience with business, IT, Risk, Compliance and Tax teams
- Excellent coordination skills to bring people and tasks together to achieve outcomes
- Ability to drive solutions to support tactical and strategic initiatives
- Solid attention to detail while maintaining awareness of the bigger picture when needed
- Experience dealing with ambiguity; flexible and adaptable to changing requirements and scope while delivering quality outcomes
