About the Role
The purpose of the HSE Advisor position is to improve, develop, and implement HSE policies that meet legislative requirements, providing advice to contribute positively to the health, safety, and well-being of all employees, contractors, and the environment.
Location
This is a FIFO position from Perth to Port Hedland, with a 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off roster. The position is eligible for a site uplift.
Key Responsibilities
1. Promote and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
2. Develop and monitor HSE policies, systems, and programs.
3. Provide HSE training and advice to managers and staff.
4. Manage incident investigations and prevention initiatives.
5. Liaise with clients, government agencies, and the community on HSE matters.
6. Report on HSE facets as required.
7. Participate in tender preparation and review related to HSE.
8. Manage HSE within projects, working closely with project management and HR.
9. Maintain relationships with stakeholders including clients, contractors, and employees.
10. Implement improvements related to HSE on projects or sites with senior management approval.
Candidate Requirements
1. Cert IV in Workplace Health and Safety is essential.
2. Experience implementing HSE in heavy industry projects and at the corporate level.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
4. Willingness to travel regularly.
5. Qualifications in Tap root, ICAM, 5 Why Investigation Methods.
6. Experience in a Rail Environment.
7. Cert IV in Training & Assessing.
8. Experience managing teams.
9. Auditing/Lead Auditor qualifications/experience.
