We're looking for an experienced System Administrator to join a high-performing technical team working on a range of exciting, infrastructure-focused projects. This is an immediate start opportunity based in Western Sydney, ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work across systems, virtualisation, networking, and Microsoft platforms.
In this role, you'll be responsible for supporting and improving core infrastructure services across on-prem and hybrid environments. You'll work closely with engineers and stakeholders to deliver project outcomes while ensuring the stability, security, and performance of critical systems.
This role offers exposure across the full infrastructure stack, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft technologies, VMware, and Cisco networking.
Key Responsibilities
* Administer and support VMware environments, including vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter
* Manage and support Microsoft infrastructure technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft 365
* Support hybrid environments incorporating Azure services where applicable
* Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco networking infrastructure (switching, routing, VLANs)
* Monitor system and network performance, availability, and capacity
* Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, patching, and project delivery
* Provide Level 2/3 support for incidents, problems, and change activities
About You
* Proven experience as a System Administrator or Infrastructure Engineer
* Strong hands-on experience with VMware virtualisation
* Solid networking experience, ideally with Cisco technologies
* Broad experience across Microsoft infrastructure platforms
* Comfortable working in project-driven environments and operational support
* Available to start immediately and work onsite in Western Sydney
