Working in governance support is an exciting opportunity to lead a multi-disciplinary team in providing effective and efficient administration across Council.
The successful applicant will require:
* Relevant qualifications in business administration or local government
* Experience in local government administration, including coordination of Council and Committee meetings, knowledge of meeting procedures and practices
* Demonstrated experience and knowledge in the administration and interpretation of the Local Government Act and Regulations
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
* Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, written and communication skills
* Proven ability to operate in a complex political environment
This role includes after hours attendance at various meetings/committees and overtime rates apply.
