The Role
Reporting to the Senior Control Systems Technician – Team Lead, this is a full-time role for a Control Systems Technician to service our growing client base and support the local service team.
Responsibilities
Installing, maintaining, and repairing control system equipment for our clients.
Conducting system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues related to the control system operation.
Work with all brands of automation systems including Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider, Ignition, and Citect.
Programming and configuring control systems to meet specific project requirements and ensure optimal plant performance.
Providing technical support to customers, either onsite or remotely, including training on control system operation and maintenance.
Documenting service activities, including maintenance reports, work orders, and equipment records.
Adhering to safety regulations and protocols while working on control system installations and maintenance tasks.
Control cabinet wiring for upgrades and obsolescence upgrades.
Ensure that excellent service delivery is met and achieved within budget & time constraints.
Practicing a high degree of safety awareness to ensure safety requirements are met onsite.
Participate in on-call duties, where you may need to work after hours including shift work.
On-call allowance and overtime payments apply where applicable.
Qualifications / Experience
A Grade Electrical Licence (Electrical Mechanic)
Strong IT skills.
A good understanding of Windows applications and networking.
Minimum 3+ years control system experience in industrial or manufacturing sectors.
Experience with onsite maintenance/commissioning.
Demonstrated experience in control and PLC/SCADA system fault finding and programming.
Experience in instrumentation fault finding and commissioning (highly regarded).
Experience in low voltage distribution, MCC, instrumentation and power systems design (highly regarded).
