About This Role
This is a diverse and dynamic role that requires effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills to coordinate community and stakeholder engagement for infrastructure projects.
* Develop and implement communication and engagement strategies, researching and writing project communication materials, media enquiry responses and releases adhering to brand guidelines and style guides.
* Provide strategic communications advice and support to project directors, project managers and other staff about community and stakeholder engagement, issues management, risk assessment and communication strategies using appropriate communication tools.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including local, state and federal government officers, key industry stakeholders, local business and the general community.
* Manage the preparation of executive correspondence and communications materials, including researching and writing media statements and responses, ministerial briefings, newsletters, flyers, display materials, speech notes and website content.
* Research and prepare project briefing materials, and reporting for leadership and project teams, maintaining a high degree of integrity and confidentiality, using systems in accordance with record management policy and procedures.
* Plan, develop, and coordinate key communication activities such as community events and consultation activities, road openings or commissioning, roadshows and displays, media opportunities, and other events as determined by the district or region, that contribute to the effective delivery of regional infrastructure projects.
