About the role
As a Senior Governance Partner, you will work closely with business leaders to provide expert advice on governance, audit, and risk frameworks.
Undertaking the role of Secretariat for the Audit and Risk Committee, you will ensure effective operations of the ARC including meeting coordination, high-quality meeting papers and minutes. You'll lead initiatives that strengthen internal controls, manage compliance with legislative requirements, and deliver practical tools and training to embed best practices. This role is critical in supporting organisational resilience and ensuring adherence to ethical standards.
About You
You are a strategic thinker with deep expertise in governance, risk, and compliance. Your ability to navigate complex legislative frameworks and provide clear, actionable advice sets you apart.
You thrive in collaborative environments, balancing competing priorities while maintaining a focus on integrity and continuous improvement. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential, including an ability to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders while navigating complex governance challenges in a dynamic public sector environment.
As the successful applicant, you will demonstrate:
* Strong secretariat experience and stakeholder engagement skills
* Understanding of relevant statutory requirements and public sector policies and practices relating to governance
* Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant knowledge and experience
* Ability to adapt and respond quickly in changing situations and willingness to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
* Ability to appropriately handle sensitive and confidential information whilst maintaining reporting standards
Essential Requirements
* Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of relevant statutory requirements and public sector policies and practices relating to governance, audit, and risk management.
* Tertiary qualification and/or relevant knowledge and experience.
