About the Role
The Network Operations Centre Engineer is responsible for managing day-to-day network operations within the Sydney Trains DTRS network, working as part of a 24/7/365 shift team.
This role ensures high network availability by coordinating daily maintenance activities, responding promptly to incidents, and meeting contractual performance metrics.
The Network Operations Centre Engineer engages with clients, Systra teams, and various stakeholders to resolve faults, support technical documentation, and continually improve service quality.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor and manage network incidents and faults; escalate as required.
* Utilise tools such as SAP, EMC Smarts, and NMS applications for incident resolution and reporting.
* Collaborate with field technicians, Systra teams, and clients to maintain high network availability.
* Contribute to technical documentation and continuous service improvement.
* Demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and client focus.
* Conduct routine system health checks and manage maintenance activities.
* Maintain adherence to company standards in quality, safety, and business processes.
