About the Opportunity
Liverpool Hospital is recruiting for an outgoing, dedicated and dynamic Clinical Nurse Educator to join the team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a committed and compassionate Neonatal Intensive Care nurse to lead a dynamic and growing service in developing and delivering a therapeutic nursing environment to provide safe and quality care.
You will be providing education, support, mentorship and preceptorship to a diverse group of nurses with a range of experience and learning needs. The role will allow you to showcase your communication skills and facilitate the development of individuals capability within their roles. This opportunity will provide you the opportunity to coordinate with other educators and relevant clinical nurse consultants to plan, provide and evaluate clinical teaching and education relevant to and suitable for all levels of staff.
You will be comfortable presenting training to a range of staff and be a strong communicator. You will be an energetic person who can engage a room and be driven to assist nurses.

Where you'll be working
1. Liverpool Hospital, founded in 1813, is the major health service for south-western Sydney, providing services to the local government area of Liverpool City Council as well as district services to residents and visitors in the area. It also provides a range of state-wide services in areas such as critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care and brain injury rehabilitation.
2. The Hospital provides a health service of international standing, with 23 operating theatres, capacity for 877 beds, diagnostic and imaging services, emergency and trauma care, maternity, paediatric, cancer care, mental health, ambulatory care, allied health and medical and surgical services from birth to aged care.
3. Liverpool Hospital is currently undergoing a major redevelopment. The $790 million Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct (LHAP) project will provide enhanced facilities and an increased capacity to meet future significant population growth for South Western Sydney.
4. Liverpool Hospital is a principal referral and teaching Hospital of the University of NSW and the Western Sydney University and also welcome students from over 20 universities and colleges.

6. Demonstrated understanding of competency-based assessment with experience in education / clinical teaching and developing clinical programs based on adult learning principles.

9. Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise.
