Senior Underwriter, Commercial Property
The successful candidate will be responsible for the underwriting and acceptance of business within the property portfolio. This will involve working closely with colleagues to ensure that all new business opportunities are carefully assessed and managed in accordance with established principles and procedures.
Key responsibilities will include developing a pipeline of new business opportunities, managing existing relationships, and increasing market share through development of new distributions and improved relationships with key producers, clients and industry groups.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in underwriting and/or broking commercial property insurance, as well as previous experience within a commercial insurance environment including exposure to clients and/or intermediaries.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Strong knowledge of ISR policy wordings
* Ability to negotiate complex deals with both international and domestic brokers
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Sound judgement and decision-making skills
* Strong work ethic and motivation to succeed
