Job Summary
Lead a cost estimation and control team for a significant project area. Identify cost trends, analyse data, provide innovative solutions, and ensure scheduled completion of work. Serve as a key driver of project success through data‑driven cost engineering and effective leadership.
Major Responsibilities
* Manage cost estimating, analysis, and control activities for a high technical skill area within the project.
* Identify cost trends for management attention.
* Analyse data to provide innovative solutions to cost engineering challenges.
* Ensure work is completed as scheduled.
* Support project organisational and administrative activities.
Education and Experience Requirements
* Typically requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10‑13 years of relevant experience or 14‑17 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills
* Demonstrated expertise in managing cost engineering functions, including cost estimation, cost control, and cost analysis, both onsite and remotely.
* Advanced statistical knowledge and ability to apply regression, variance estimation, and correlation to real‑world scenarios.
* Experience providing leadership, personnel administration, and training for technical and non‑technical teams.
* Strong oral and written communication skills, with a proven track record of presenting cost engineering information to management and clients.
* Ability to identify, analyse, and resolve complex problems.
* Advanced understanding of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes.
* Up‑to‑date knowledge of current industry trends and technical developments.
