We are seeking passionate and dedicated Emergency Physicians to join a busy, well-supported Emergency Department in regional Tropical North Queensland. As a Staff Specialist in Emergency Medicine, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality emergency care across a diverse and stimulating case mix. You will also contribute to **teaching, supervision, service development**, and **patient safety and quality improvement initiatives**.
The Emergency Department manages approximately **50,000 presentations annually**, with:
~25% paediatric presentations Significant trauma exposure Regional referral responsibilities, including: Aeromedical retrievals Telehealth support to surrounding rural and remote hospitals
Clinical Support Includes
15-bed Emergency Short Stay Unit Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory Modern imaging and diagnostic services
You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the **planning and development of a brand-new Emergency Department**, helping shape the future of emergency care for the region.
