The Opportunity
HammondCare's Respite Cottages provide short‐term accommodation and individualised support for older guests during stays of up to 10 nights. As a Specialised Carer, you'll play a vital role in delivering personalised care and creating a welcoming, home‐like environment.
Hourly Rates: $31.95 to $35.44 – P/H + penalties
Shifts Include
* 7:15 am–2:45 pm – Morning shift
* 2:45 pm–9:45 pm – Afternoon shift
* 9:30 pm–7:45 am – Night shift
Responsibilities
* Provide personal care including grooming and hygiene
* Deliver care in accordance with individual care plans
* Support and care for guests during overnight or extended stays
* Promote guest dignity and independence through daily activities
* Maintain accurate documentation and communicate changes in care professionally
What you need to apply
* No formal qualification is necessary, however, Certificate III Individual Support is an advantage
* First Aid certificate desirable
* Empathy and compassion are a must
* We provide job training as long as you have the willingness and desire to learn
* Good administrative and computer skills, including the use of a smartphone
* A strong team player, who can communicate professionally changes in care, complete all documentation, whilst maintaining confidentiality
