This Business Strategy Manager is responsible for developing and driving the Food eCommerce strategy to enhance customer experience, convenience, and satisfaction, and to capitalize on future eCommerce growth opportunities. This role focuses on identifying customer trends, predicting market shifts, and developing strategic initiatives that position Woolworths eComm as a leader in online grocery.
This role is pivotal in shaping the future direction of Food eCom and eComX. The eCommerce Strategy Manager collaborates with various teams, including product, technology, marketing, and operations, to ensure strategic alignment and drive initiatives that improve the end-to-end customer journey and support long-term growth. This person will support the long term vision for Ecom and develop cross functional sub-strategies.
This role connects our activity to our north star objectives in eCom across commercials, customer needs, market trends and proposition enhancements. By focusing on customer trends, convenience, and satisfaction, the eCommerce Strategy Manager will drive initiatives that not only meet current customer needs but also anticipate future demands, ensuring Woolworths remains at the forefront of the evolving eCommerce landscape.
You will demonstrate the key WooliesX values of Connect, Collaborate & Co-Create to forge stronger and mutually productive relationships. You will have the ability to influence key stakeholders within WooliesX and other parts of the Woolworths Group and input into broader Tribe deliverables.
As a core member of the Squad, Tribe and also the Food eCom Business Unit, you will play a crucial role in building the strategy for the team and effectively engaging with senior stakeholders to maximise the positive impact that we have on behalf of WooliesX.
Key Duties :
Develop and execute the overarching eCommerce strategy, with a focus on enhancing customer convenience and satisfaction.
Analyze customer trends, market data, and competitive activities to identify growth opportunities and potential threats.
Drive initiatives to improve the online customer experience, including site navigation, personalization, and customer service.
Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and eCommerce innovations to enhance Woolworths' online offerings.
Collaborate with product and technology teams to define and prioritize new features and functionalities.
Work with marketing to develop strategies to attract, engage, and retain online customers.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to customer satisfaction, convenience, and eCommerce growth.
Iterate and innovate new and existing fulfilment propositions to meet customer and market needs
Present strategic recommendations and insights to senior leadership
What you'll bring :
We're looking for someone who can establish strong relationships with senior managers with the ability to influence and engage. You are dedicated and results focused with a customer first mindset.
8+ years of experience in eCommerce strategy, digital marketing, or a related field, with a focus on driving customer experience and business growth.
Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills. Deep understanding of customer trends and eCommerce best practices. Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills. Proven ability to drive change and innovation. Customer-centric mindset. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
In-depth knowledge of eCommerce platforms, technologies, and marketing strategies. Strong understanding of customer behavior and online analytics. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of market research methodologies.
Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
