Job Summary
As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of technically complex building services projects while providing leadership, mentorship, and project direction within a collaborative design environment. You will manage medium‐sized, complex projects with a high degree of independence, contribute to technical excellence across the portfolio, and build trusted relationships with clients and external stakeholders. This role suits a well‐rounded technical contributor with strong commercial awareness and a growing interest in project leadership and business development.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design and delivery of electrical systems for medium‐sized, complex projects across sectors including healthcare, commercial, laboratory, sports, industrial, and precinct‐scale infrastructure.
* Undertake system‐level electrical design with autonomy, applying sound engineering judgement and ensuring compliance with relevant standards, codes, and client requirements.
* Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary teams, managing interfaces with architectural, structural, and building services disciplines to achieve integrated design outcomes.
* Act as Project Lead for appointed projects, managing scope, program, budget, quality, and resourcing in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and other external project stakeholders through confident and professional engagement.
* Contribute to the leadership of the electrical team providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting capability development, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the team.
* Undertake to design reviews, quality assurance processes, and the ongoing development of technical standards and best practice.
* Support sustainable and innovative design outcomes that align with broader environmental and project objectives.

What You Bring
* Approximately 8 years' experience designing electrical systems within the building services industry.
* Proven experience delivering system‐level electrical design and managing medium‐sized, complex projects.
* Strong engineering fundamentals with the ability to work independently and take accountability for technical outcomes.
* Demonstrated capability in multidisciplinary collaboration and coordination.
* Organised and effective team member, able to work easily with others, and effectively delegate.
* Recognised qualifications under the Australian Qualifications Framework (Bachelor Degree), with appropriate industry recognition and experience to support design certification sign‐off (CPEng/NER and BLA PE).
* Experience working directly in Revit and producing coordinated, high‐quality design documentation.
* Working knowledge of energy modelling and electrical calculation tools such as PowerCAD and AGi32.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical information to both technical and non‐technical stakeholders.
* Strong interpersonal skills, with a mentoring mindset and the ability to support the development of junior team members.
* A proactive, commercially aware approach with an interest in contributing to business growth and long‐term team success.
