ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Health and Medical Administration worker will be involved in a broad range of administration tasks throughout the Health and Medical service areas.
This position operates on a rotating roster with varied start and finish times from 7:45 am until 5:15 pm (or last client).
DUTIES:
- General Administration tasks including answering phone calls, word processing, faxing, filing, and recalls;
- Liaising with patients and their families to book appointments;
- Organising transport as required; and
- Billing and account enquiries.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Medical administration experience preferred;
- Excellent telephone manner and communication skills;
- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy;
- Strong organisation and time management skills to prioritise work and meet deadlines;
- Ability to work independently whilst functioning within a team setting.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have completed secondary schooling or be above school age;
- A current driver's licence or ability to obtain one;
- A First Aid Certificate or ability to obtain one;
- A Blue Card (Working with Children Card QLD) or ability to obtain one;
- A Federal Police Check or ability to obtain one.
*No Card, No Start legislation means that the successful applicant will need to hold a valid blue card before they start work. IWC will cover the cost of this application for the successful candidate.
SALARY PACKAGE:
- Salary Sacrifice Packaging valued up to $15,990 per annum – adding approximately $2,000 to your take-home pay (available after completion of probation).
- Meals and Entertainment Package up to $2,600 per annum (available after completion of probation).
- 9-Day Fortnight (for full-time staff).
- Superannuation valued at 12%.
- Annual Leave Loading of 17.5%.
