Position: Risk & Safety Coordinator
We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Risk & Safety Coordinator with knowledge in WHS, risk, and safety management to join our small, dedicated HR team.
The Risk and Safety Coordinator will support the implementation of key safety initiatives and ensure compliance with safety regulations. This role is part-time and reports directly to the HR Manager.
What you will do:
1. Risk and safety support: Assist with the development and implementation of hotel safety and risk management systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
2. Accident investigations: Support department managers in investigating accidents and incidents, helping identify root causes and suggesting corrective actions.
3. Training and onboarding: Ensure new hires complete safety training relevant to their role, particularly focusing on addressing key safety risks.
4. Safety audits and compliance: Assist with conducting regular safety audits to ensure the hotel's safety protocols are up-to-date and compliant with safety legislation.
5. Stakeholder support: Collaborate with hotel leadership and department heads to align safety efforts with the hotel's operational goals.
6. General HR admin support: Provide additional HR administration support, especially in relation to safety training and compliance.
The ideal candidate will have:
1. Proven experience in HR administration with a strong focus on risk and safety management.
2. Knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation and best practices.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
4. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
We are looking for someone who:
1. Is available to work either 2 full days a week or 3 5-hour days per week.
2. Has over 1 year's experience in administrative / clerical roles.
3. Has over 1 year's experience working in customer service industries.
