Mount Isa Mines is currently advertising for a supervisor – Supply Project. This role will see you become an integral part of the team whilst living and working residentially with a working roster of 5/2/4/3 – 9 hour shift.

The Role
Mount Isa Mines are seeking suitably experienced applicants for the position of Supervisor within the Supply Department. Reporting to the Supply Superintendent, this motivated, self‑driven and experienced professional will lead warehouse management and logistics functions that support the operational infrastructure of Mount Isa Mines. The ideal candidate will have the ability to provide ongoing support, training and information on warehouse issues. They will be responsible for standing in for absent team members, undertaking project and investigative work and will promote a culture of continual improvement in Supply practices and services.
Your key responsibilities include:
* Maintaining personal and team safety, as well as environmental standards
* Achieving personal and team performance goals
* Management of MIM inventory items, systems and catalogues
* Providing site‑wide services that support and contribute to the performance of both maintenance and operation teams
* Regular stocktake and stock reviews, including management of seasonal stock levels and reduces inventory
* Clearing warehouse and sub‑stores of surplus/unserviceable items in conjunction with customer areas
* Managing a Rotable Items Management System
* Assisting operational and maintenance teams to reduce official/unofficial stores to consolidate storage practices
* Implementing safe stacking & storage policies
* Promoting a culture of continual improvement in Supply practices and services
The successful applicants will have:
* Demonstrated history of commitment to customer service, logistics & other related activities
* A minimum of three years' experience in, and excellent working knowledge of, warehouse/inventory management
* An outstanding understanding of SAP, as well as excellent data manipulation and report writing skills as well as demonstrated problem solving and organisational capabilities
* Proven history of commitment to delivering a professional standard of accuracy in the work output of self and team
* A high level of personal flexibility, integrity, initiative, motivation, teamwork and negotiation skills; as well as having the ability to perform allocated tasks with minimal supervision
* Excellent interpersonal skills (both written and verbal)
* Being a member of a relevant professional body is desirable but not essential
