The Role
As a Senior Payroll Officer, you will take ownership of high-volume payroll operations across multiple entities. You will manage weekly and fortnightly pay cycles while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
* Processing multiple weekly and fortnightly payroll runs
* Maintaining employee records, entitlements, allowances and deductions
* Processing terminations, adjustments and payroll reconciliations
* Ensuring accurate STP reporting and compliance with ATO requirements
* Managing superannuation, PAYG and statutory obligations
* Responding to payroll queries and providing expert support
* Contributing to process improvements and payroll system optimisation
Skills & Experience
* Significant experience in high-volume payroll environments
* Proven experience processing large payrolls of 1000+ employees end-to-end
* Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance
* Ability to manage multiple concurrent payroll cycles
* High level of accuracy, organisation and attention to detail
* Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously
Highly Regarded:
* Experience with Employment Hero, Xero, Astute Payroll, or similar large payroll/CRM systems
* Experience working within outsourced or multi-entity payroll environments
* Exposure to cloud-based payroll integrations
