Offer description

An exciting part time opportunity has arisen for an accounts expert to join our organisation. If you are experienced with a broad range of accounts experience and looking to join a team in the insurance building industry, this role is for you!

Part-Time | Monday to Friday | 9:00am to 2:30pm

This position is working within a quick‑paced department, your ability to offer high quality work in a high‑volume environment coupled with your previous all‑round accounts experience will ensure your success in this role

Key Responsibilities

- Accounts Payable and Receivable tasks
- Reconciliation of daily bank statements
- Carry out billing, collection and reporting activities according to specific guidelines
- Data entry of creditor and invoice details
- Monitor and action the accounts email
- Process credit card payments and reconcile corporate credit card statements
- Liaise with insurance companies and the insured
- Arranging travel and accommodation and processing HBCF applications
- Maintaining records, filing and other general administrative tasks as required

Selection Criteria

- Demonstrated experience in accounts payable & receivable functions
- Experience using Xero and MYOB
- Experience in Microsoft Office applications
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong numerical, problem solving and analytical skills
- High level computer skills with the ability to pick up in‑house systems with ease
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to build positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- The ability to handle highly sensitive information and adhere to strict confidentiality policies
- Proven experience working in a fast‑paced team environment with the ability to manage competing priorities with a calm and professional approach
- A team oriented and customer focused disposition, coupled with an accountable and results driven attitude
- Previous experience in home insurance, residential construction or similar will be highly regarded
