We provide services to our Partners and Clients across New South Wales. The Steelfixing Group NSW is expanding and looking for a skilled and fully qualified Formwork Carpenter to join our team.
Full time, $80K Annual Salary + Superannuation
The Steelfixing Group NSW is a Sydney based construction company specializing in multiple areas of expertise catering for all sectors of the construction industry. We provide services to our Partners and Clients across New South Wales. The Steelfixing Group NSW is expanding and looking for a skilled and fully qualified Formwork Carpenter to join our team.
This excellent opportunity will be offered on a Permanent Full-Time basis at 38 hours a week.
Requirements
* AQF Certificate III
* Minimum of 1 year of work experience
* The right to work in Australia
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
* Read and understand drawings
* Analyze blueprints and specifications to determine necessary materials, dimensions, and installation procedures
* Build, set up, fit, refurbish, and fix structures and fixtures using wood, plywood, wallboard, and other materials
* Order and select timbers and materials, and prepare layouts
* Set frames and levels
* Put together prepared wood components to create structures and fixtures for installation
* Measure, cut and shape wood or metal
* Work with your team to pour concrete into moulds
* Produce concrete blocks of exactly the right shape and size
* Potentially repair existing fixtures
* Work with plastic laminates, perspex, and metals
* Familiarity reading plans and attention to detail
* Experience with steel fixing and concreting would be advantageous
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment
* Ability to read and understand construction plans
* Positive, can-do attitude and enjoy working in an inclusive team
* Competency in using and maintaining hand & power tools
* Strong attention to detail and a solid work ethic
