Role Responsibilities
* Oversee and deliver high-quality audit services to the business and Audit & Risk Committees.
* Provide assurance on risk management to key stakeholders to ensure the financial wellbeing of customers.
* Identify issues and insights in audit reports to assist clients in improving their business processes.
Team Context
Our Group Audit and Assurance (GA&A) team provides independent assurance of risk management, controls, and governance. They incorporate digital tools and AI to enhance audit activities, supporting continuous, data-driven assurance across the organization.
Key Expectations
* Assist in building and updating a risk-based Audit Plan.
* Oversee assurance activities aligned with internal audit methodology.
* Lead audit phases, ensure timely delivery, and address issues proactively.
* Maintain high standards of documentation and audit workflow management.
* Test Privacy Compliance and identify process improvements.
* Draft and review audit issues, and communicate findings effectively.
* Prepare clear reports for management and boards.
* Support quality assurance programs and utilize analytics for insights.
* Collaborate across teams to provide a comprehensive view of risks.
* Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure assurance coverage.
Desired Qualities and Skills
* Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills.
* Understanding of risk, controls, policies, and data privacy laws.
* Experience with data governance, privacy regulations, and privacy impact assessments.
* Ability to build relationships, influence, and demonstrate independence and objectivity.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and change management skills.
* Self-driven with a proactive approach.
