About The Role
A Senior Medical Officer position is available in a rural hospital setting, requiring an individual to practice as a skilled and competent senior generalist. This role involves delivering high-level in-patient and emergency medicine services independently with a broad scope of practice despite limited onsite investigations.
* The successful applicant will be based at one of our rural hospitals (Boonah, Esk Gatton and Laidley) and also required to provide backfill at the other three rural hospitals when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver quality care to inpatients, outpatients and Emergency Department clients across various acuity and care needs.
* Prioritize tasks efficiently while maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with colleagues.
Requirements
* Possession of Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM).
* Vaccination against certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD).
