About the role
Jindi Pig' is seeking an experienced and qualified Butcher to join our team in Neerim South, VIC. This full-time role is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your butchery skills and passion for delivering exceptional customer service within a leading food services organisation.
What you'll be doing
1. Preparing, cutting, and packaging a wide variety of meat and poultry products to meet customer orders and requirements
2. Providing friendly and knowledgeable customer service to advise on product selection and preparation
3. Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the butchery area
4. Assisting with inventory management and stock rotations
5. Contributing to the overall success of the store through active participation and teamwork
What we're looking for
1. Formal qualification as a Butcher and several years of demonstrated experience in a similar role
2. Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
3. Strong customer service orientation and the ability to provide expert advice to customers
4. Excellent hand-eye coordination, dexterity, and attention to detail
5. A team player with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
