Barista / All Rounder – Neck of the Woods Café
Neck of the Woods is a warm, community-focused café in North Nowra, known for quality coffee, great food and friendly service in a relaxed local space. The team is growing, and a Barista / All Rounder role is now available
About the role:
* Make consistently high-quality espresso coffee and other beverages during busy service.
* Provide confident, friendly customer service, including greeting guests, taking orders and handling payments.
* Help with basic food prep, plating and running food to tables during peak times.
* Maintain a clean, organised workspace, including coffee station, front-of-house and dishes.
* Support opening and closing routines as rostered (stocking, cleaning, setting up displays).
* Contribute to the positive, community feel that Neck of the Woods is known for, including welcoming, engaging and facilitating a professional but friendly environment.
About you:
* Experience as a barista in a busy regional café, confident on the machine and with milk texturing.
* Strong customer service skills – warm, clear communicator who enjoys chatting with regulars and making people feel welcome.
* Reliable, punctual, proactive and able to work both independently and as part of a small team.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and jumping between coffee, till, running food and cleaning as needed.
* Available for weekday shifts and some Saturdays in line with our opening hours (no nights, no Sundays, no public holidays).
Nice to have (but not essential):
* Experience with basic food prep or café kitchen work.
* Knowledge of dietary requirements (gluten free, dairy free, veg/vegan) and confidence answering menu questions.
* Local to the Shoalhaven and familiar with the North Nowra community.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour
