Overview

Eating Disorder Clinician – Port Macquarie

Employment Type: Permanent Part Time. Position Classification: Health Clinician Level 4 (CNC1/Clin Psych/Snr Psych/SWkr/OT). Remuneration: $126,720.88 - $129,314.15. Hours per Week: 24. Location: Port Macquarie, NSW. This permanent part-time role is based in Port Macquarie and involves working as part of a district-wide eating disorders team within Network Mental Health services.

Responsibilities

- Support the implementation of the NSW Service Plan for people with eating disorders (2021–2025) to build pathways to care, drive evidence-based practice, service improvement and innovation, and build workforce capacity.
- Provide eating disorder–specific consultation, liaison, and capacity building to Mental Health services, Medical services, Dietetic services, and other service partners.
- Deliver intensive short-term care coordination for people with eating disorders requiring multi-systemic collaborative care, including working with carers.
- Deliver innovative evidence-based interventions in individual or group formats as a specialist service in addition to mainstream service provision.

About You / Qualifications

- As this is a multi-disciplinary role, you will need to hold one of the following: current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia with at least 5 years FTE post-registration experience; or a bachelor’s degree in Social Work eligible for AASW; or qualifications recognized by the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia; or current registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA.
- Demonstrated extensive clinical skills and substantial experience in delivering eating disorder services and addressing access to care, with advanced written and oral communication skills and ability to liaise with diverse stakeholders across organisational levels.
- Proficiency with electronic information systems.
