Great opportunity for a new Fellow or Senior Analyst with strong GI pricing experience keen to work closely with the International Personal Lines Management team and provide meaningful, insightful, and timely actuarial advice. The role is ideal for someone with
**3-5 years of GI actuarial working experience**.
Your role will include:
- Undertaking detailed analytics and preparation of analysis for pricing, portfolio monitoring and reserve reviews of key International Personal Lines portfolios for Senior Actuaries and product managers;
- Analysis and modelling to contribute to the annual business plan loss ratios
- Development and streamlining of data and information management dashboards
- Providing strategic pricing recommendations and insights to internal stakeholders
- The development and implementation of best practice pricing models incorporating claims, quote conversion, customer retention and pricing scenarios
- Taking ownership of and continual refinement of the rating and pricing models utilising advanced analytics techniques, extensive data and industry leading tools and technologies
- Monitoring the performance of implemented initiatives to support the continuous refinement of pricing models and pricing strategy
- Contribute to the development of pricing strategy and support its implementation
- Identify opportunities to drive innovation and make improvements in processes, products and services
- Implement the pricing governance framework by performing continually improving controls and governance around pricing processes
- Participate in the cross-product natural peril analytics project
To be considered for this role you will need to be an aspiring actuary who is willing to take ownership of their work, and be a point of contact of all actuarial matters relating to the personal lines portfolio. You will need the right to work in Australia, and local GI actuarial experience:
- Strong data capabilities, attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- The ability to manage competing projects and meet deadlines, and communicate actuarial analysis and concepts to a non-actuarial audience
- Strong skills in MS office, SAS, SQL, R, Python and a preference for Emblem/Radar
- Exceptional GLM/GBM and ML experience
- A keen interest in natural perils and climate research
