We’re now seeking an experienced Branch Operations Manager to lead our Rockhampton Depot, driving operational excellence and fostering a strong, safety-focused culture.
Position Available: Branch Operations Manager
Location: Rockhampton, Queensland
About the Role:
Reporting to the Regional Manager, this key leadership role is responsible for overseeing all branch operations in Rockhampton. You’ll ensure the efficient utilisation of staff and assets to deliver premium logistics services to our customers. With a strong focus on safety, service delivery and cost management, you’ll lead a high-performing team and continuously look for ways to improve how we operate.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all Rockhampton branch operations, ensuring secure, efficient, and reliable freight services that meet customer expectations.
- Strategically plan and manage staff and asset utilisation to maximise productivity and service delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and subcontractors across the East region.
- Manage budgets and operational costs to deliver strong commercial results and meet P&L; objectives.
- Drive compliance with all safety, Chain of Responsibility, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify, document, and implement process and performance improvements across all operational areas.
- Support succession planning, training, and performance management to build team capability and coverage for key roles.
About You
You’re an experienced logistics professional with a proven ability to manage complex freight operations and lead large teams. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, think strategically, and act decisively. You’re customer-focused and commercially savvy, with a genuine commitment to safety and people development.
What you’ll bring:
- Substantial experience managing a general freight or transport operation.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing multiple teams and functions.
- Advanced understanding of CoR, load restraint and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, planning, and financial management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and operational systems.
