We are seeking a Rating Services Officer to join our Finance team, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining the City's rating database, processing rates, and delivering outstanding service to internal and external stakeholders.As a Rating Services Officer, you will be responsible for assisting with ratepayer enquiries, maintaining accurate property and ownership records, processing rebates and interim notices, and supporting the timely delivery of rates notices and refunds. You will also work closely with other departments and external agencies to ensure the accuracy of property and address data.Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:Process and maintain property ownership and rating records in accordance with legislative requirementsRespond to ratepayer enquiries and provide high-quality customer service via phone, email and in-personSupport the Senior Rating Services Officer with the issue of annual and interim rates noticesProcess rebates, concessions, and rate refundsAssist in the debt collection process for outstanding rates and chargesLiaise with service authorities, Landgate, real estate agents, and other stakeholders to ensure property data accuracyPerform financial processing tasks including receipting and back-office reconciliationMaintain records in line with the City's electronic records management proceduresAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:Demonstrated experience in an intermediate finance or administrative roleExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft ExcelHigh attention to detail and sound time management abilitiesA customer-first mindset and commitment to confidentialityHow to ApplyIf you enjoy working in a collaborative team and have a passion for accuracy, service and community, we'd love to hear from you!
