Dallarnil State School is seeking a reliable and motivated Schools Officer (Grounds) to join our team. This role involves maintaining the school's grounds and facilities to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
This position is being offered in a Permanent Part-Time
capacity (0.17FTE), 13 hours per fortnight. Rostered days and hours will be negotiated with the school.
This is a progressional position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the lower classification with eligibility for progression to the next, once specific criteria have been met or demonstrated. Please note salary rate shown is reflective of both classification ranges.

Step Into Your Next Chapter:
* Responsible with a range of duties that include cleaning and hosing of drains and gutters; assist with requirements for significant events such as fetes, plays and major sporting events; undertaking immediate action cleaning duties (outside the normal operating hours of the school's cleaning staff).
* Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements including maintenance of a safe work environment; safe storage and handling of chemicals, fertilisers and fuel; bring to appropriate attentions any safety hazards; manage equipment records; and maintain tools and equipment for repair services (as per manufacturers' service manuals).
* Oversee maintenance of school ovals through regular mowing, watering and soil maintenance (refer to WHS guidelines and procedures); lawn and garden maintenance, including regular weeding and the use of appropriate insecticides and fertilisers where necessary (refer to WHS guidelines and procedures); plant, water and care for trees, shrubs, gardens; and undertake general maintenance of grounds care equipment such as mowers, brush cutters and arrange regular services.
