About the role
Volcon Engineering is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Draftsperson to join our dynamic team in Southport, Queensland. As a full-time role, you will play a crucial part in the development and implementation of innovative engineering solutions for our diverse range of clients.
What you'll be doing
* Producing detailed structural drawings and designs using industry-standard CAD software
* Collaborating with engineers and project managers to interpret design specifications and translate them into accurate technical drawings
* Ensuring all drawings adhere to relevant Australian standards, building codes and company quality assurance processes
* Providing support and guidance to junior drafting staff to maintain consistent quality and efficiency
* Liaising with clients, suppliers and other stakeholders to gather information and address queries
* Staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies and best practices
What we're looking for
* Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Structural Draftsperson, preferably in a design consultancy or construction environment
* Proficient in the use of CAD software, such as AutoCAD and Revit, with a strong understanding of structural design principles
* Proficiency in both AutoCAD and Revit software is essential for this position
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality, accurate technical drawings
* Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve design issues
* Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients
* Relevant tertiary qualification in Drafting, Engineering or a related field
* Australian citizenship is required for this position
