Role Description
This is a full-time Sales and Applications Engineer role based on-site at our Hobart, TAS location. However, remote work is possible for the right candidate. Responsibilities include providing technical support to clients, driving sales, and delivering tailored solutions to meet customer needs for
Nortek's
Subsea Navigation and Vessel-Mounted product lines
. The role requires collaborating with customers to understand and address their requirements and coordinating with internal teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Additionally, you will utilise your engineering expertise to assist in product demonstrations, applications, and troubleshooting.
Whilst sales and the growth of new business will be primarily focused in Australia and New Zealand, the role involves supporting new and existing users throughout Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia. Support may also extend into other APAC countries at times.
Key Responsibilities:
· Work closely with and assist other senior staff of the Australian Nortek team to prospect and secure new customers and maintain existing customers.
· Support senior staff in the execution and planning of sales activities, marketing, conference attendance, trade shows and Nortek-run events.
· Obtain and maintain an understanding of Nortek technology to a high level of competence and the ability to share information professionally.
· Possess a hands-on approach to Nortek technology at a level to be able to successfully present information, install and train others to use products effectively.
· Assist and advise customers on a broad range of applications of Nortek products, from both a sales and technical support perspective, and handle incoming sales processes and oversee orders during the manufacturing and delivery of new products.
· Work closely with and assist other members of the Nortek AS Subsea Navigation team in support, product development and other strategic activities and initiatives when required.
· Provide sales and support for Tritech International Ltd. products in Australia and New Zealand.
· Undertake regular local, national and international travel to attend events and for client visits.

Qualifications
* Proficiency in Sales Engineering and Sales, with the ability to identify customer requirements and drive tailor-made solutions
* Technical expertise in Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, with a thorough understanding of engineering principles
* Experience in providing Technical Support, including troubleshooting, product demonstrations, and assisting customers with technical inquiries
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with customers and internal teams
* Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred
* Experience in the marine instrumentation or scientific equipment industry is an asset
