The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network currently has the opportunity to join the Division of Surgical Specialities and Anaesthesia in the second Nurse Manager position, where you will be responsible for:
* providing expert support to the Divisional Nurse Unit Managers, Nursing Directors and the Divisional Director (Nursing) in key areas including staffing, HR, finance, service flow, WHS and risk management
* work collaboratively with Nurse Managers from other NALHN Divisions to jointly achieve select NALHN nursing strategies and projects
* contributing to safe, effective nursing/midwifery practice aligned with policies, accreditation standards and clinical governance
* accepting accountability for nursing management outcomes and promoting a positive, safe workplace culture
* delivering management support across programs, services, portfolios, or projects as required to enhance consumer outcomes
* providing interpretation of professional standards of practice, industrial agreements and professional responsibility of nursing and midwifery staff
About You:
To be eligible for this position, you must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* demonstrated experience and understanding of contemporary rostering practices and staffing methodologies
* demonstrated experience in the management of recruitment, workforce / service planning and human resource
* effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving conflict resolution and negotiation
* registered Nurse and or Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years post registration experience.
* demonstrated knowledge of payroll and recruitment systems i.e. ProAct, CHRIS 21 and PageUp.
* provenmanagement experience in acute care settings, a strong clinical background in surgical or anaesthetic environments would be beneficial
