We have a permanent full-time position for a Barista / Cafe Allrounder at our (insert location), a (insert bed count) residential home. (Insert location hyperlink from website)
Our Barista / Cafe Allrounder creates a friendly and customer service-oriented environment where residents and their families can socialize over a hot or cold beverage or snack. Typical responsibilities include:
* Welcoming all customers with a warm, friendly, and helpful personality and attitude.
* Serving a range of snacks, including hot and cold sandwiches, cakes, muffins, etc.
* Preparing and serving hot and cold (non-alcoholic) beverages — it is essential to have a barista certificate and make great coffees!
* Cleaning kitchen, service areas, and dining area around the coffee shop.
* Following and executing daily, weekly, and monthly procedures to maintain high-quality cafe operations.
* Collaborating with the Chef Manager to discuss supply needs for the cafe.
* Ensuring the cafe area is free of workplace hazards, trips, slips, or other safety issues.
* Maintaining a professional, respectful, and inviting cafe environment that reflects our company positively.
* Providing backup support in dining room service when required.
This role involves physical activity, including bending, squatting, lifting, and pushing items to perform daily tasks safely. It is important that you can perform these tasks without risking injury to yourself, colleagues, or residents.
About You
At Infinite Aged Care, we hire based on attitude and aptitude; previous experience in aged care is not necessary. While formal qualifications like a Cert II in Hospitality are highly regarded, a friendly disposition, willingness to help others, and experience in customer service or hospitality (retail, coffee shop, bar, or restaurant) are more important.
Additionally, you must have:
* Demonstrated barista and cafe hospitality experience with a passion for friendly customer service.
* A strong safety attitude and awareness of hazard prevention.
* The ability to work independently, be proactive, confident, and communicate well with team members, especially kitchen staff.
* Problem-solving skills, initiative, and the ability to perform at a high standard.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a welcoming demeanor.
* Hardworking, flexible, and available to cover shifts.
