Golding is currently seeking an experienced Mining Supervisor (OCE Qualified) to work at our Kogan Creek mining operation near Chinchilla. This is a key operational role responsible for leading crews, ensuring safe production, and maintaining compliance with statutory requirements.
Reporting to the Mining Superintendent, you will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of mining operations on site. You will play a critical role in driving safety, productivity, and team performance while ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with legislation and site standards.
An attractive 7on/7off rotating day and night shift roster is on offer along with supplied accommodation.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate daily mining operations to meet production targets
* Exercise statutory duties as an Open Cut Examiner (OCE)
* Promote and uphold a strong safety culture across crews and contractors
* Ensure compliance with site procedures, SHMS, and regulatory requirements
* Monitor equipment utilisation and operational performance
* Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
* Lead, mentor, and develop operators and team members
* Complete reporting, shift handovers, and documentation accurately
About You
* Current OCE certification (essential)
* Demonstrated experience in open cut coal mining operations
* Proven supervisory experience leading mining crews
* Strong understanding of mining equipment and production processes
* Solid knowledge of safety systems and legislative requirements
* Effective communication and leadership skills
* Standard 11 and relevant site inductions (or ability to obtain)
