Job Overview:
Ramp service agents and baggage handlers play a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of airport logistics. They work behind the scenes to guarantee everything runs smoothly, sorting, loading, and unloading baggage and cargo, providing cabin cleaning services, and assisting with aircraft pushback.
This dynamic environment requires adaptability, as employees may encounter varied schedules aligned with airline timetables, including early mornings, late shifts, and weekends. To maintain efficiency and reliability, it is essential to be flexible and able to work across a 7-day roster, 24 hours a day.
The ideal candidate will possess good physical fitness for lifting up to 32kg, ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods, basic to intermediate computer skills, excellent communication skills, and a strong work ethic. Australian citizenship/residency and a valid driver's license are also required.
* Efficiently load and unload aircraft baggage
* Safely transfer luggage to and from aircraft
* Handle baggage weighing up to 35kg repetitively
* Operate in various weather conditions and confined spaces
* Collaborate with team members to maintain smooth operations
* Effectively manage baggage flow for departing and arriving flights using sorting equipment and manual handling techniques
