The Role
Responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to support the establishment of BG&E Minerals and its growth into the Mining and Minerals sector within NSW by assuming a range or responsibilities such as:
Develop and advise on engineering specification, selection, duty, installation and operational methodologiesProvide advice on materials handling installations and plant performance elementsUndertake detailed analysis and mechanical design to ensure safety, compliance, and constructabilityAssess the behaviour and performance of mechanical equipment under construction-stage, commissioning-stage and operating conditionsCollaborate with engineers, designers, and consultants to deliver coordinated cost-effective solutionsProduce and review technical reports, drawings, and design calculations for quality and accuracyLiaise with clients, local authorities, and other project stakeholders as required for the delivery of projectsCoordinate with other engineering disciplines and actively participating in interdisciplinary workshops and risk assessments as requiredEnsure that all work is undertaken in accordance with the appropriate legislation, corporate requirements and systems
About You
You will be a key contributor within BG&E Minerals where you’ll apply your mechanical engineering expertise across a range of studies and projects.
B.Eng or higher in Mechanical EngineeringRelevant industry experience (10-15 years as a mechanical engineer post-graduation)Proven experience in developing practical, buildable solutions under site constraintsStrong communication and coordination skills, particularly with site teams and contractorsA proactive, hands-on approach to solving engineering challengesHave positive professional relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders in South Australia
