An exciting opportunity is available to join a small, but growing, team of Paediatric Occupational Therapists in private practice. The position is open to those wishing for part-time or full-time employment, for Senior Occupational Therapists or those who have recently qualified. Flexible working arrangements are available including time in lieu. Salary is above award and will be dependent on experience.We will provide a high level of 1:1 supervision for all our staff but we are particularly passionate about mentoring and supporting newly graduated Occupational Therapists. There are 3 senior Paediatric Occupational Therapists in the service, 2 of whom who have over 20 years of experience in varied Paediatric settings. Formal weekly supervision is given to all staff. We also have fortnightly staff meetings, monthly professional development sessions and staff breakfasts to ensure social connections are maintained. We have yearly trips away to the beach for planning and also have pamper days at Crown Spa for massages and lunch as a team. We highly value self-care and promote work – life balance.We have a fully set up clinic in South Morang, Melbourne. We have 5 clinic rooms, including a sensory room, an outside area for gardening and a kitchen. We are supported by a full time financial administrator and 2 other part time admin officers.We are passionate about our values and our main focus is the support we provide to the children and families we work with. We would like to welcome passionate, like minded therapists into our highly supportive team. The role will include developing a case load over time to include assessment and treatment sessions within the clinic and out in the community in schools and homes when required. We also run an Aquatic OT programme out in a local community centre and OT groups within a local school. We work with NDIS participants and privately paying clients. There will be opportunities to develop your own interests and run groups within the clinic or within the community wherever there is a need. We have opportunities for supervising staff, students and therapy assistants and developing skills in your own areas of interest within Paediatrics. We also provide a training budget to each staff member to ensure continued professional development.The successful candidate will hold a Bachelors or a Masters degree in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra). We will consider those wishing to move into Paediatrics with experience in other areas of Occupational Therapy practice, those with Paediatric Occupational Therapy practice experience and those who will graduate in 2022 as long as they have a passion to work with children and families.It is a requirement that each successful employee has a Police Check, a Working with Childrens Check. A driving license is preferable.
