Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Health Assistant.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of safe patient-centred care to a diverse population.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
They will also be physically capable of performing the duties of the position, including lifting and transferring patients.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide general assistance in wards, portering patients within the facility/campus, undertaking cleaning duties and security duties as required under the direction of clinical staff.
* Work collaboratively with other team members to maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
* Support the delivery of safe patient-centred care to a diverse population, including those from all backgrounds.
* Respond to conflicts and aggressive situations in a calm and professional manner.
Requirements
* A current NSW Security licence (Class 1A minimum) or the ability and willingness to obtain one within the first 3 months of employment.
* Nationally Recognised Training (NRT) First Aid Certificate or the ability and willingness to obtain one within the first 3 months of employment.
* Knowledge of person-centred care principles and practices in a healthcare environment.
