About The Role
The Café Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations our brand-new café at Glynde. You must be able to work across a 7-day roster primarily between 9-4 pm with occasional evening work. You, along with the Hotel Services team, will provide consumer-centred, quality-focused services, this position is responsible for assisting with the preparation and delivery of high-quality food and beverages that meet the dietary needs and preferences of consumers and visitors. The Café Assistant ensures a welcoming and safe environment for consumers, high quality barista skills, light cooking, adhering to food safety regulations and promoting a positive dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare menu items and beverages, including light cooking and coffee making.
* Serve meals and engage with consumers, providing excellent customer service.
* Maintain café cleanliness and hygiene, ensuring a safe dining environment.
* Support café operations, assisting the supervisor and helping with special events or catering.
* Enhance resident satisfaction, contributing to enjoyable and high-quality dining experiences.
* Working collaboratively with the hotel services team

About You

* Friendly, reliable, and experienced in café or hospitality environments.
* Holds (or working towards) Certificate III or IV in Hospitality, with current Food Safety and RSA certifications.
* Confident in using commercial kitchen equipment, preparing and serving food and beverages, and operating a POS system.
* Provides excellent customer service, with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Safety-conscious, well-organised, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
* Genuine interest in supporting older adults and enhancing the dining experience.
* PPT or casual position available for the right applicant

Candidates may be subject to a pre-employment medical assessment with the successful candidate requiring current NDIS worker clearance and RSA. In accordance with current health guidelines for the aged care sector, candidates are encouraged to have all recommended vaccinations.
